My new H5P interactive video is effective in increasing knowledge transfer based on several multimedia learning principles that I met:
- Multimedia Principle: I create PowerPoint slides with words and pictures.
- Split-attention Principle/Redundancy Principle: I put the definitions of principle and relating pictures on the same slides. (Also met the Spatial/Temporal Contiguity Principle)
- Modality Principle: I use Screencastity to record my narration.
- Embodiment Principle: I did not show my image on the screen.
- Feedback Principle: I create popup questions so that people are given feedback on what they receive.
Compared to my first H5P interactive video, I create a new PowerPoint and I add pictures in my slide to meet the multimedia principles and I improved my texts to make it more clear to the audience. I also add more questions in my H5P video for more feedback for the audience.
